The Morpheus Series
Three stories about an alien force that has invaded human nightmares, and about those who must fight it to the death…not in the vast physical cosmos of Star Wars, but along the endlessly shifting and endlessly dangerous landscape of human dreams.
Volume I: The Morpheus Conspiracy
When Vietnam War veteran David Collier returns to Boston from combat duty, he falls into a hellish depression caused by a newly diagnosed psychological ailment known as “Post Traumatic Stress Disorder” (PTSD). But what Collier doesn’t know is that his mental illness was actually triggered by “The Curse of Morpheus” – a long-dormant force for evil that’s been reawakened in Vietnam.
Struggling desperately against the Curse, Collier soon discovers that it gives him the ability to invade other people’s nightmares, and the power to exact revenge on those who have wronged him in real life.
Volume II: The Surgeon’s Curse
In Volume II of The Morpheus Series, the dreaded “Curse of Morpheus” has infected a new host, demented VA psychiatrist Dr. Michael Rogers, who uses it to attack his victims by invading their nightmares.
Once again, the resourceful sleep scientist Alix Cassidy must confront a killer who relies on “Somnambulistic Telepathy” – the paranormal ability to sneak into the dreams of sleepers (with the help of the Curse) – and then inflict deadly violence on them.
Volume III: Destiny Returns
In the third volume of The Morpheus Series, the paranormal “Curse of Morpheus” has taken over the mind of a powerful politician in Chicago.
Determined to wipe out his enemies, the crafty politico attacks them by infiltrating their nightmares and tormenting them on the dreamscape.
Alix Cassidy and her team of dream-time warriors must once again do battle on the frontier between dream and reality.
